USBuyGold is an independent precious-metals education site for US investors. We don’t sell gold or silver, run a dealership, or take payment to recommend one. We exist to explain how buying, storing, taxing, and selling metals actually works — plainly, with the trade-offs left in — so you can decide for yourself.
The precious-metals world runs on urgency and fear: “buy now,” “the dollar is finished,” “this rare coin is your last chance.” We built USBuyGold to be the calm opposite of that — a place that’s comfortable telling you when not to buy.
What we do
We publish independent guides, dealer research, calculators, and a plain-English glossary covering gold, silver, IRAs, and the practical mechanics of owning metal. Every page is answer-first, written by people with real experience in the field, and reviewed against the same editorial standards. Where we research dealers, we follow a published review methodology built on public information — not paid placements.

What we believe
- Metals are a tool, not a religion. They can diversify a portfolio in modest amounts; they are not a guaranteed escape hatch, and they pay no income.
